Ive been interviewing candidates my whole career and im telling you

Those are beginer questions. You don't ask a proven 55 year AD those questions. You know those answers before he interviews. Im not knocking you but if we don't know their strengths and weaknesses prior to them coming in we haven't screened them.

I would want them to submit a 90-180 day plan(getting started), an 18 month plan and a 3-5 year plan for how they will help ECU reach the business outcomes (yes, winning is a business) it has provided all the candidates in advance of their interview cycle. And we better damn well know our business objectives for the next 5 years or hire a consultant to help determine them. I assure you financial growth and management will be at the top. And i wouldnt give guys like Hart a pass based on experience at P5 schools. We dont need Hart or anyone to rest and nest if you know what i mean. It will take new thinking for the G5 schools to be successful.
