I do! Who of our generation who happened to listen to WKIX in Raleigh could ever forget the irrepressible Pat Patterson!! The best comedic DJ in the country who came to you with over 100,000 red hot watts of pure listening pleasure. I mean who can forget Pat’s hilarious, dim witted sidekick, Johnny Dollar, Uncle Zeb and his country store, Two Flags Over Fuquay and so many more slapstick skits!
I actually bought 2 of his 78 rpm, double sided LP’s in ‘74/‘75 and will occasionally play them to relive nostalgically my fledgling days as a upstart employee in Raleigh with a little ole country bank known as NCNB, now B of A. What fun memories of a less stressful, care free time in life.
Thanks for the reminder!
