Look at the AAC coaches that have moved upward and onward.
With the exception of SMU, every coach at least played for the division title. If Coach Houston gets ECU to play for the AAC East title(vs UCF, USF, Temple, etc) he would have delivered big. He would have elevated the cash register, ECU, and himself. Win win win. We can all live with that. The AAC is showing to be a league between the P5 and G5 and that is not a bad spot to be. It can be a hell of a niche for coaches to prove themselves. The league doesn't have a stigma.
