Lots of problems with the Roll Out. Throwing on the run is difficult for

any QB, and, it cuts the field in half so you are limited in your options for potential completions. Shotgun, pocket passing offers the best view and options, and utilizes the entire field. The key for any QB is to get the ball out of their hands in less than 3-4 seconds. Wonder why the dink and dunk worked, it took less than 2 seconds and the avg lineman can block for that long. Mo tried for the long ball, +30 yrds, which meant over 3 seconds. Good Luck as we saw. Huge failure and often nothing more than a 50/50 toss up and hoped the receiver "makes a play" - and I hate that term. If the QB and receiver are any good, it won't be about "making a play," it will be about timing patterns and catching the ball per the called play.
