The only way the AAC would absorb any Big 12 schools is if

enough left to trigger the conference clause of a majority where no exit fees could be collected by remaining members.
The Death of the Big12 has been a popular topic it seems forever. We know the most wanted programs are OU and Texas. We know Oklahoma St, Texas Tech, Kansas, WVU and TCU are attractive enough to easily find homes. The question is how politics and quality of overall program affect Kansas St, Iowa St and Baylor. Kansas St is a Basketball power so they will find a home. Iowa St is a decent athletic program but Academic power house as a AAU Research school. Odd man out could be Baylor and they are a better fit with MWC than anybody else.
