Texas enjoys being King

If they ever leave the Big12 they relinquish that role. As it is Texas and the state of Texas politics holds a lot of power over the Big 12. I could see Oklahoma wanting to get out from under the control of Texas and there sometimes crazy politics but Texas is probably not going anywhere unless Oklahoma leaves first. As it is Texas has a flood of money from their own revenue and Big12 revenue so moving conferences is not something they need to do. Big 12 has also seen that they can make the Football Playoff as their conference stands right now. A big consideration as well is Texas prefers access to the lucrative East Coast tv markets. I doubt seriously they are going to move their athletic programs to the West Coast tv markets. If they were going to move it would be to Big1G for the Billions in Academic research grants those schools split up that dwarf athletic money or they would go to the ACC.
