Agree . I should have been more specific ....

I was referencing punt returns more than kick offs . Your point is a good one . Also, there is value in ball protection a “sure hands” guy like Brown and Hardy provided. There were also many times when the fair catch hand flys up and there are no tacklers within 25 yards of them . That drove me crazy .
