All the respect in the world for Holton, but competition at each position
pushes both players to be better. If the offense doesn't score a touchdown in three quarters and we are down four scores, you have to give the back-up a shot. If a player works his tail off all week in practice and doesn't get a chance to go in when the other guy struggles, that has to be demoralizing. True competition is a lot of motivation to get better.
