He truly played his best game on Saturday.

He looked more confident. He stepped into many of his throws and he had not done that many times this season. He threw passes and hit players on the run. He grew up in many ways. The pick-6 was a bad decision considering the two inside receivers were open for first downs. We went to the CJ well one too many times. Regardless, Holton played an outstanding game and he grew up. I think it had a lot to do with the offensive line being able to give him the time to view the field and throw the ball.

There were a lot of good play calls in that game except for the continuous attempted runs up the middle. Those calls were horrible. The pick-6 came after two attempted runs up the middle, with lost yardage, when we had gotten nowhere all game. At one point I saw a stat that we had attempted 35 + runs and had less than two yards a carry.

Holton did not have to apologize for anything. DK should have apologized for the ridiculous attempts at running up the middle. We were beating them with the pass all game but we kept trying to run the ball which made no sense.

The person I want to hear from is the defensive line coach and the defensive coordinator. They didn't do anything all game to help the offense. We never packed the middle to stop the run up the middle. I think they averaged over 25 or 30 yards per carry!

We were up 40-28 and could have scored again to beat them down and put them away mentally. However, we lost the 4th quarter with a porous D.
