Lyrics, Dem fools at USF paid me $9 mil to go 16-21

My guess is when he finally hangs it up he will have earned over $20 million to coach kids which is not too shabby. He certainly had an interesting journey being the son of legendary Lou Holtz, starting as a GA at Florida St in 1988, first real coaching gig as WR coach at Colorado St, Assistant at Notre Dame and eventual OC, First HC job at UCONN helping them transition to what was Div1A, South Carolina experience with his Dad , ECU with Back to Back CUSA Championships and the could of would of should of Liberty Bowl wins over SEC and what would have been Back to Back Final 25 rankings, the almost gig at WVU if not for a miracle Fiesta Bowl win by interim HC, USF money grab , to circling around for a victory lap at Louisiana Tech,

He never achieved the Notre Dame goal or next level status of his Dad but he should be proud of his coaching career and it definitely gave him a very comfortable life style and what will be a well deserved retirement. Still one of my favorite ECU coaches of all time to talk to at away games in the hotel lobby.
