You're missing 2 points.....

1. Had we waited another year, we would likely not have hired Scottie Montgomery and would have taken less of a hit on ticket sales and donations.

2. Tell that "unproven coordinator experiments" point of view to Memphis and Cincinnati, the two best programs in the country. They hired coordinators. So did UCF when then went undefeated. Every successful football coach in the country was hired first as an assistant. How's Ohio State doing with their first time head coach? How about Dabo Sweeney? He had never even been a coordinator. How about Steve Logan? How about Lincoln Riley? We don't have to have an experienced HC. And, as far as experience at HC goes, while Mike Houston has been a HC a at lower level, prior to coming to ECU he had never been a coach-at any level-on an FBS school in his life. A good argument can be make that an assistant at a big-time program would be better equipped to take over an FBS team than a HC from a lower level program.

  27,978 is the number I found. I was one of those. ** -- Red Shadow 12/02/2019 08:26AM
  Maybe 10 to 12,000 at the most. ** -- trinitypirate 12/02/2019 09:55AM
The cause for that success is head coach at Oklahoma. ** -- trinitypirate 12/02/2019 08:51AM
