If there's a choice between any decent lineman and a QB, take the lineman!
They need to play to Holton's strength. Watching the Tulsa game, Tulsa dropped 8 into coverage, most of the day. Either Holton couldn't figure out where to go, or the coaches told him not to run.
He is most effective, in my opinion, when he's on the move. The defense has to respect he may run, and that opens more lanes for him to throw.
When he's in the pocket, he seems to try to put too much touch on the ball to float it into a "zone"... that's not his strong suit.
Again, my 2-cents.
