The face of recruiting has changed drastically since the glory years of Notre Dame. It used to be a Blue Blood like Notre Dame could get the best of the best based on their name and history alone. Stud recruits now don't remember Notre Dame National Championships and heck their parents might not even remember them. Recruits today with youtube highlight films and multiple recruiting sights have more access to different schools than anytime in history. Notre Dame will always be a Blue Blood but just not as sexy a destination as it used to be trying to draw kids to middle of Indiana to attend a Catholic School. Brian Kelly is an awesome coach and he got them into the playoffs but based on the current recruiting cycles I don't see Notre Dame returning to glory years.
