Nothing to do but move forward and push for success in what remains
Hate that we lost swimming, in particular, as it was arguably our most consistently successful sport. Especially sad for the student-athletes who have lost a team, a partial scholarship in some cases and the honor of competing at a high level. They deserved better.
But the change was inevitable. And we all know more are coming if we don't turn the economics around, which is dang near impossible in the current state.
All we as fans can do is continue to be as generous as possible, again a challenging task in the current economic situation.
Hopefully the schedule for opening school in mid-August and athletes returning sooner increases the chances of some sort of football in the fall.
The social distancing rules should be a lot like most games last fall - plenty of room for everyone who bothered to come.
