One comment that sort of got lost was Smith stating that . . .


"We need to identify the programs that attract students and focus on them". This should have been years ago. Three years ago ECU had more academic programs (meaning it awarded degrees in more different fields) than any other institution in the state. Try to be all things to all people is not an effective strategy. It's less effective now than ever. The health-focused programs are clear winners. Business and engineering need to be focused ENC-related outcomes.
