I do not know the future of college football but I got to question the

value of Alabama playing three of these teams in a season:

Sept. 5: vs. USC (Arlington, Texas)
Sept. 12: vs. Georgia State
Sept. 26: vs. Kent State
Nov. 14: vs. Tennessee-Martin

USC may have been down lately but at least they have the potential to defeat Alabama at some point in the future. Seems to me that playing Georgia State, Kent State and Tennessee-Martin are in effect open dates.

An ardent 'Bama fan may stay glued to the TV for these cupcake games but I doubt there is much nationwide enthusiasm.
