Actually you're wrong on that point. Most essential workers aren't tested

at all unless symptomatic and visiting a doc. Working in a chemical plant, we can't zoom call in to get work done so we use simple protocols to work safely onsite not testing. The workers aren't in a bubble and are out in the community when off work. And if you think testing is a panacea, it's not. There's still a ways to go on the testing front. If you test positive, you're pretty sure and deal with it. If you're negative, there's still a decent chance the test was wrong and you may have covid. Now in Virginia workplaces it you're following the law, if a worker has tested positive, it takes 2 negatives >24 hours apart for him/her to return not a single test.
