Was at the coast enjoying summertime weather
last week at the beach. Got back and scanning boneyard for a couple of days and saw where you guys got into a pretty lengthy BBQ talk. Some of you guys were pretty critical of our red tomato based slaw:):):) I guess it is what you grew up with, but good slaw is good slaw where it be from our area or the East. Saw someone mention eating pork ribs at a BBQ joint in Welcome. The place is called Ricks Smokehouse and on Thursday he does ribs and they are special. Also saw brisket being talked about and he has it on Wednesday and it is great. Go on Thursday and get the ribs first--good grief they are good. Got both kinds of slaw also, for you haters of tomato based slaw. Went to Sam Jones for the Navy game and it was great. Going to Pete Jones for the Tulane game..that is really my favorite. I do not particularly care for the BBQ pork at B's..I know those are fighting words..but not that great to me. Hate I missed out on that discussion. I have my interest perked by one of the commentors."Redneck BBQ Lab". I was in the I40 I95 area a couple years ago and did not know about the joint. It is definitely on the radar. The wife and I just might have to do a road trip.cannot beat the name. I figure the Redneck BBQ lab is about 3-4 hours from Salisbury??????????? If it is that good, the drive means nothing. BUT, is it really that good? Got to rely on you BBQ experts on that one.
