Coastal Carolina is a cute story as was App St last year but we can expand the playoffs to 24 teams and all it is going to mean is an occasional Boise St like upset but a whole lot of ass whoopins too. Anybody who watched Alabama and thinks they would not prison rape Coastal, Cincinnati, Liberty etc.. is crazy. It is like the NFL with no salary cap. Alabama, Ohio St, Clemson, and a few others pour millions into their coaches, facilities, recruiting budget etc.. and what we are seeing is never going to change. It is not and will never be College Basketball where 2-3 players can change your whole program. Even baseball you can just recruit 2-3 stud pitchers and a couple important hitting studs and you are in the hunt. Football is a machine that has to be built and Alabama and the rest of the Playoff country club have an advantage that only extends to at most 12 teams in the country. The rest are irrelevant.
The only hope is the bowls and their lousy ratings will rethink their auto bids and maybe just try to set up a match up that would be appealing to viewers.
