Great start to the season. Pitching staff demonstrated why preseason optimism appears well founded. Defense spectacular Friday night in difficult conditions but left a little to be desired Saturday and Sunday. Glad to see so many of the new faces get some actual game experience. My guess is it will take a couple of weeks to iron out a few wrinkles in the lineup, rotation, batting order and get everyone in an established role for the season. Looking forward to seeing the other two starting pitchers in action this week. Duke is ranked, Ga So is usually a strong program. This weeks competition should be a great opportunity to see our Pirates continue to grow into a team that realizes it’s dream to reach Omaha.
