If an athlete signs a NIL he liable for the tax value?

Does the advertiser send him a 1099 for the value of the NIL contract? Is there a morality clause in the contract to give the advertiser an out if the NIL person gets a DWI or arrested for fighting? I guess the last question would depend on if the advertiser, or their representative, was smart enough to include a morality clause in the contract. The more I think of the NIL, lawyers and accountants may be the only ones to make money.

If the NIL person is using social media, who determines the value?

I'm glad they won't be calling me for advise or explanations.
