That sounds so fun! If I remember correctly Justin Wilson the LA chef

did a red drum recipe on tv way back maybe early 80s and that started the real push on catching channel bass. Until then it was pretty much just a gentleman's fish. My Dad would tell me stories late 70s thru late 80s of catching multiple over 50" in the same night. In 1992 we got into a school and caught over 120 puppies. Was amazing.
