Couldn’t help but smile—

Stephen Igoe’s “Teaching Moments” article in “Hoist The Colours” criticizes HA’s decision making process in several of his run/pass options in Saturday’s UCF game. The one he harped on was HA’s end zone corner pass to CJ whereby CJ caught the TD pass but came down out of bounds. On that play, HA could have easily run for a 1st down and probably even scored. Well, those are all “hind sight” conclusions. And as I posted earlier, “hind sight” is “100% accurate, 100% of the time.” Regardless, had CJ come down with that pass inbounds, it would have been an “ESPN highlight.” In the meantime, we’re all guilty of jumping on the “woulda, coulda. shoulda” band wagon which in itself has merit, but will never produce the 100% accuracy factor of “hind sight.”
