If I were to give a player a huge NIL deal, there would certainly be performance based clauses written into the contract. I wouldn't just sign over 8 million to anyone without a specific goals and limitations to the money. Transferring from the school early would stop all payments.

I think it's really up to the NIL provider and the athlete to hammer out the exact details of the agreement that would beneficial to both parties.
