It will be basically a minor league feeder system to big NIL schools

Players will come to schools like ECU because just like an overlooked 2 or low 3 star there is no chance in hell of NIL money for them. If they shine, then they get called up to Big NIL pay day school. On the flip side if there is ever some Super 64 NIL pay for pay league you will see players who are not making as much money or not getting enough playing time to provide NFL scouts with game tape funneling back down to low pay NIL schools like ECU. If there is a split, you can best believe that the NFL is still going to find and draft players from the non-elite big NIL schools. As it is 17% of NFL rosters are filled with players from FCS schools. 256 players out of 1696 players on 53 man NFL rosters are from G5 schools so between G5 and FCS 31% of NFL rosters come from non P5 schools. That is a significant amount of talent that is not playing for the elite P5 schools. You can also make the argument that now with NIL all of that G5 and FCS talent will find their way to a NIL power school which could very well happen but will most likely happen JR or SR year when that player has established themselves as a stud. Roster management is going to be the major skillset needed of coaching staffs going forward. We are going to see a whole bunch of players come and go ala ECU Basketball.
