It does for me as my younger brother has served Greenville and ECU's
police departments for a combined 25 yrs...then there's my wife who has been teaching in New Hanover Co for 19 yrs, 13 yrs at Parsley ES (top rated ES) and 6 at MC Williams (title 1).. best of both worlds and those worlds are 180 degrees from one another. She's had great times and horrible times with covid years as being the most stressful. I have a new appreciation for her and the job she does.. she has to develop her own daily plans or purchase them...no teaching plans are provided whatsoever. As far as my kid brothers job..protecting the public isn't a cake job either...esp with his characteristics which are kind, trusting and as good a family man and Christian as they come. I still pray for him and his safety first each night... here's to him and his safety for as long as he serves and to my wife who after work comes home and eats with me after I prepare our dinner then back to the bedroom to work till 7:30, then shower, then to the living room for an hour and a half of Netflix or Amazon Prime movies then to bed. Yep, there are more demanding and stressful careers out there but to me both of them have proved their worth and dedication to me and everyone they have either taught or had to confront at night with no backup. So yeah.. maybe the question should have been who's more (un) impressive Car salesmen or market traders.
