Unfortunately, we don't even have a radio station in Raleigh.

We can claim any area we want but reality presents a different story. Most of our radio stations are small AM stations that have a range of about 20 miles. If we had appeal, we would have a regular station in Raleigh. We used to have one in the 90's and 2000's. There isn't a market for us in Raleigh anymore. WRAL covers us about as much as they do NC Central. They dropped us from having a header. The Big 12 has shown they have no interest in ECU whatsoever. Multiple times. Their only interest in NC schools is going to be if the ACC blows up and it will be an ACC school(s) they are interested in. Terry Holland tried his best with the media market thing and that was when we could put 45,000+ in the stadium on a fairly regular basis. That ship has sailed. There is no conference better than the AAC that has any interest or will ever have any interest in ECU. Heck, with our performance in the AAC, many of the members probably think it was a mistake adding us. I don't like any of this, but that is reality I'm sad to say.
