The Porter guy Sea Rover referenced early on went thru all of this

Great athlete with college offers, lost a leg in a boat accident following a waterski competition, has an artificial lower limb. Went to college at UNCW, PA school at ECU. And still somehow a NCS fan lol.

Fast forward to today he can whip me in golf, out surf me, out hit me in softball 7 days a week, we've won volleyball leagues and tourneys together, and so on.
