If open enrollment changes that will definitely make it harder
If PCS builds a new high school and then open enrollment is an option for all schools or if they take it off the table all together, that will hurt JHR. They still will be one of the top programs for no other reason than RV. They are not bullet proof though. When SC was built it took DHC and JHR a while to rebound. I wish all the local teams luck. It is great for our area, however if the items mentioned above happen, it will change things for SC, DHC and JHR. The other possible scenario is a redistricting. This might be needed but if parents don't want to be in a certain district they will find an alternative. Move, private school or home school. That is what happened 15 years or so ago when Planters Walk got redistricted and the kids were sent to Sadie Saulter. That neighborhood had at least 20 houses for sale in the first week and the rest sent their kids to Parrott, St Peter's or Oakwood. That was just that neighborhood. It occurred all over that district. So in the end, it helped one school but hurt another.
