Looking at last year’s results vs RPI created this year’s seeding

12 of 16 super regional teams were top 16 in RPI
Not in that top 16:
Us at 18
UConn at 26
Southern Miss at 22
Louisville at 21

Of the 8 CWS teams, ALL 8 were top 16 RPI teams

Wake, Florida, Maryland and Vanderbilt were only top 16 teams not to advance to supers

Vandy was within 1 run of making supers
Maryland and wake both knocked out by UConn
Florida eliminated by Oklahoma (another top 16 rpi team)

If you aren’t top 16 rpi you better have representation on that committee or it ain’t happening
