In this case, if Houston hires the right guy and they go to a Bowl next year, you don't fire anyone and build on that.

Now I fully agree that this offense is on Houston's watch. But ECU is probably looking at the defensive and special teams output and saying, lets give him a year to fix his offense.

I'll give Houston credit for fixing the defense from a few years ago. Its the best defense ECU has seen since Skip.
