No offense but If he does not have a winning season next year

he is gone. There is no way he should come back if he doesn't win 6+ next year. I keep reading comments that he needs time and the younger generation is impatient. Normally I would say you are right but it can be done. Look at these teams:

UCF - Frost went from 0-12 to 6-6 to undefeated this year.
Fuente took Memphis to 10 wins his 3rd year.
Urban Meyer took a 6-7 OSU team and coached it into a 12-0 the first year.
Bronco Mendenhall has UVA at 6 wins in year 2. Matt Campbell has Iowa St at 6 wins in year 2.
Matt Rhule took Temple from 2-10 to 6-6 to back to back 10 win seasons. Freaking Temple!!!!!

If you can recruit and coach, then it is not unreasonable to expect 6 plus in year 3.

Skip Holtz did it here. Took a 2-9 team and went 5-6 in year one and probably could have won 2 more that first year. Then he went on a 4 year run with 34 wins. The fact that it can be done here is the basis for much frustration.
